Here’s a list of web hosting companies, ranked in order of one’s I’d recommend:
I really recommend HostGator. I’ve used them quite a bit and have never had any problems. Good prices, and an overall good company.
I’m using Lunar Pages now, they are good, have great prices and great service. I’ve had a few problems with the server going down or getting slow, so they aren’t my #1, but are definitely good and I’d recommend them.
GoDaddy is a bit more expensive. And their hosting is a bit restrictive. They use their own proprietary control panel which is supposed to be easy, but isn’t. GoDaddy is stable and has great support and customer service. They are a bit pricier than others, and a bit more difficult for me personally using their control panel as I am not used to it.
I haven’t personally used Blue Host, but have heard good things from people who have.
I haven’t used Host Monster, but from my research, they look pretty good and I would consider it.
I’ve never used Yahoo for hosting, but they are a trusted company.
I have a client who uses Start Logic, and have worked a little with them. Their customer service is good, and the server doesn’t have many problems. They also use their own proprietary control panel, which I don’t like.
1&1 has been around for a long time. I’ve never used them and don’t know much about them.
Don’t know anything about this company. They have eco friendly servers, which is cool.
